Insomnia Study, by Louise Kanefuku*, integrates the series of drawings in which the artist approaches apparently banal but at the same time intense experience, for those who know it of the incapacity of falling asleep. The drawings rich in details and precise lines that make up the sequence are made from photographs of the artist. Louise's drawings are imposed by beauty, lightness, emptiness and silence. In her delicate images, the scarcity of elements, materials and colors enriches the work, illustrating the process of transformation of absence into power.

*Louise is a visual artist and a Master's student in Plastic Arts at the University of Porto. She works with design and performance, on topics such as lightness, displacement and migration. Awarded regionally and nationally, it has works in public and private collections in Brazil.
